Today in class we were asked to record the new camera movements we learned.
Here are the clips I took!
This is a steadicam clip of my friend Suri typing on the computer. The camera is held still while there is still movement in the clip, making this shot a steadicam.
This clip is a pan, starting off showing the bookshelf, then slowly revealing Suri laying on the floor. The pan shot is supposed to reveal information and in this scenario, Suri is being revealed on the floor.
This clip is a tilt, showing Suri reading a book in a chair. What makes this is tilt is that it starts off by facing the floor, and slowly, the phone tilts up without actually moving the phone upwards.
This clip is a zoom of my friend reading a book as she feels a hand on her shoulder. The camera zooms in when she turns her head slightly.
This clip is a reverse zoom because it's the opposite of the regular zoom shot. In this video, the beginning shows an ocean with fish, then reveals that it's a tv screen.
This clip is a handheld shot because it's purposely supposed to look like someone is recording from their hands. This video is me walking up to my friend Suri, while making the video slightly shaky to reveal that the phone is being held in my hands.
